Announcing New Mesothelioma Resource Website

September 22, 2004 -- To support the growing number of people being diagnosed with mesothelioma, MeotheliomaHQ.com a new Web site, is being officially launched today. This Web site seeks to become the clearinghouse of all types of information related to mesothelioma.

The Web site was conceived to combat the lack of factual articles and information resources available to people diagnosed with mesothelioma. Director Rachel Howard, said "We strive to be a destination that helps people in need and to provide an online sanctuary for people coping with mesothelioma, as opposed to the constant attacks from the online ambulance-chasing lawyer."

Mesothelioma is a cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos. There are many treatments but as of yet there is no cure. There are many promising clinical trials that are working towards a cure for mesothelioma. Due to the lack of previous publicity, many doctors may have a hard time diagnosing and treating this cancer. This new website offers information for health care providers, mesothelioma patients and also for their families.
