Baron & Budd Toxic Tort Attorney James D. Piel Honored as a "Texas Rising Star"

Jim Piel represents plaintiffs in cases involving mass toxic exposures, unsafe pharmaceuticals, and business torts. He managed a legal team that, in 2002, secured a significant recovery for over 800 workers injured in a Louisiana chemical spill. He has also handled contamination cases in Mississippi and California. Since 2002, Jim has handled matters resulting in settlements in excess of $300 million. Jim is a director of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Pennsylvania.
