SUPER LAWYERS 2003 HONORS 49 GARDERE ATTORNEYS Ruckman, Schoenbrun Receive Additional Recognition

DALLAS/HOUSTON – Forty-nine attorneys from the Dallas and Houston offices of Gardere Wynne Sewell have been named to the inaugural list of Texas Super Lawyers.

Super Lawyer selections were based on peer nominations made by more than 60,000 attorneys from across the state. Gardere attorneys were included in 19 separate practice areas. Fewer than 5 percent of Texas attorneys were chosen for this honor.

The Super Lawyers list appears in the November 2003 issue of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers, a new publication produced by the publishers of Law & Politics Media Inc.

"Recognition from your peers is always rewarding," says Gardere Managing Partner Steve Good. Good was selected to Super Lawyers for his tax practice. "While it is gratifying to have 49 attorneys recognized from a firm of nearly 300, we believe this validates the overall quality of all of our attorneys and the firm as a whole."

Two Gardere attorneys received additional honors.
Bankruptcy & Workout attorney Deirdre B. Ruckman was named among the top 50 female attorneys in the state. Corporate Finance attorney Larry L. Schoenbrun was selected among the top 100 attorneys practicing in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
